Our small vineyard is located on the summit of Spring Mountain. Here the terrain is steep and rocky, in some places heavily forested and still wonderfully wild. An occasional bear leaves his foot prints – just to let us know… It is a challenging place to farm but worthwhile. At two thousand feet, we are above the morning fog which often shrouds the lowlands. These heights are blessed with plentiful sunshine and warm nights as the heat rises from the valley below. The volcanic soil together with the abundance of heat make this a unique spot for the cultivation of grapes, which, under the guidance of John and Alex Kongsgaard are transformed into this full-bodied Cabernet.
