Our hearts hurt for all of us in the SMD, Napa and Sonoma Valley.
All staff members and the Barnett family are safe. During the last couple nights the fire has approached our property a few times. Through which we have sustained damage in a few areas like our upper deck, storage shed and vineyards. We have been able to fight off the fire from damaging the winery and residence. We not out of the clear yet and will continue to save our property. We hope we can be all out of this soon.

With a heavy heart that we tell you that Behrens Family Winery and Sova wines is in ashes. We are all in shock at the magnitude of this disaster that is still unfolding. Bergman Family Vineyards
Bergman Family Vineyards is a family-owned vineyard and ranch located on 40 acres of lower Spring Mountain. We are reporting no fire damage currently but heavy smoke is limiting visibility.
Fires are active in two locations near our property at this time (Wednesday 9/30/20 at 12:30). Cal Fire is using our property to traverse between knolls of current active fires, including the fire near Stony Hill and near the old ‘Christmas tree’ property at the end of Bea Lane.
We hope everyone stays safe and appreciate all the support from the community that we have received, especially the fire crew at Cal Fire’s Big Tree Road station.

We are fortunate to share that our team is safe and winery is largely unscathed following the recent fires. While we lost equipment and our outdoor tasting deck, we know these things can be replaced. The safety of our team is our highest priority, and our thoughts are with our neighbors and community who suffered more devastating losses. As we have in the past, we look forward to dusting off our boots, coming together as a community and growing from this experience.

Thank you for your outpouring of support and concern regarding the impact of the current wildfires in the Napa Valley.
First and foremost, our thoughts go out to all of our friends who have been affected and are currently fighting against these devastating fires throughout California. We wanted to say a huge thank you to all the firefighters and first responders on the front lines continuing to keep communities safe.
Our neighbors on Spring Mountain have been hit hard and are continuing to battle these fires. At present, we are still assessing the situation on our property, but we’re very optimistic. We will continue to monitor current conditions and use our social channels to give timely updates. Our family is all safe and praying for the best possible outcome for all who are affected.

It is with heavy hearts that we inform you all that the Newton Estate winery and vineyards have been significantly impacted by the recent Glass fire in Northern California. Thankfully, all our people were evacuated safely. We are actively providing immediate around-the-clock support and assistance for them now and over the coming months.
All facilities will be closed as we assess the damage, until further notice.
We will be assessing the damage over the coming weeks. Our storage facility has not been affected so all bottled vintages remain intact.

Spring Mountain Vineyard
Here at SMV, thankfully everyone is safe but the fire has taken a raging toll. Flames and intense heat quickly swept through the entire property and essentially vaporized most of our historic buildings that date back over a century, quickly reducing them and our stately forests to ashes. Though the bravery of our vineyard manager, Ron Rosenbrand, the dedicated firefighters who put their safety on the line for ours, and the sheer grace of God, I am grateful to report that our main winery, our caves and the legendary Miravalle mansion were saved.
